Banner Health Adopts Curvo Clinical Spend Management Solutions

June 6, 2023 - Evansville, IN – Phoenix, Arizona-based Banner Health has adopted Curvo clinical spend management solutions to identify savings opportunities, improve contract visibility and tracking, and deliver quick insights and presentations.

Banner Health recently signed a multi-year deal that includes Curvo Data Enrichment and Curvo Analytics Suite solutions via the Curvo Platform.

“It’s exciting to watch Banner Health drive strategic change in the clinical supply chain,” said Curvo CEO and Co-Founder Andy Perry. “Data and technology are rapidly transforming this important function for the betterment of the overall healthcare organization.”

Banner Health Goals: Data-Driven Performance and Clinical Spend Reduction

The implementation is already underway, as Banner Health feeds PO history data to Curvo for enrichment in order to be completely live at launch.

The award-winning Banner Health Supply Chain team envisions using benchmarking data and actionable analytics for decision making, bid and contract support, and digital supplier engagement.

Clinical spend reductions are expected as a result of:

  • Repricing existing vendors
  • Standardization/moving market share
  • Preventing price creep
  • Price alignment across all facilities

“We anticipate process improvements and cost avoidances through improved productivity, RFP and operational efficiencies. Overall, we will reduce errors and save staff hours,” said Mike Halmrast, Executive Director of Supply Chain Contracts at Banner Health. “Curvo is always responsive, and implementation is moving along quickly and smoothly.”
